I am currently pursing a bachelor's of science degree in electrical engineering at the University of California Santa Barbara. My passion for engineering started at a very young age when I started to play around with Legos. I would spend many hours building things using Lego pieces. As I continue to get older, I started to take an interest in my dad's work in IT. I constantly asked him about functions of a specific computer parts and how it makes a computer work.
When I first started school, I really liked the problem solving and pattern recognition aspect of mathematics. When I entered high school, I learned about the many applications of math in many different subjects. The interests in the application of mathematics helped increase my interest in engineering.
My strengths include working with a team to creatively solve problems. I was able to develop these skills through my years in Boy Scouts and Junior Reserved Officer Train Corps. These skills were ultimately demonstrated when I conducted my Eagle scout project. I used my skills of leadership and team work to plan, coordinate, and lead volunteers to a successful project. During the project, I had to find solutions to unforeseen problems. Ultimately, working with my team enabled me to accomplish the project.
I am actively seeking an internship in the electrical engineering or any related field where I gain real world experience applying the skills I gained from the classroom and past experiences. Please contact me if you are recruiting applicants for internships, or part-time work.
